Chinese Halloween Trickery

Fun fact: ordering Halloween costumes from China is awesome. You could stay where you are and go to a local costume shop to find the usual selection of Marios and Luigis, sexy ____, superhero costumes, masks, and so on. Or, you could find the following nonsense (cheaper by the way) online from China!

For the past 3 Halloweens, I have been rocking two suits from China. One is my favorite Symbiote Spider-Man costume (the real name for it, not Venom, evil Spider-Man, black Spider-Man, etc.)!

And then there's the even more epic Kung Fu Panda mascot costume. Sadly, it doesn't travel overseas with me to Korea, but it's a hit everywhere.

These costumes are good examples of what's awesome from there, but they're not exactly easy to find. It's like the spam box in your e-mail. Sometimes, important messages are in there, but you'll have to sift through a mass of junk to find them.

1. Mislabeled Costumes

Ba-D'oh!

This is actually a pretty awesome Homer Simpson costume, but you might not find it if you search for Homer Simpson. Actually, probably you will find it. NEXT!

"Dinosaur Mascot Costume" FAIL

Being Charizard for Halloween would be so epic, but you really have to dig deep to find this costume. I mean, Dhgate has 200+ pages of just mascot costumes.

2. China vs Your Favorite Character

The design of whichever character or thing you want to be sometimes just ends up looking terrible, or hilarious.

Buzz Lightyear + Jay Leno's Chin

If you wanted to fuse Buzz Lightyear and Jay Leno, then this works out well for you. If not, it's a better Buzz costume, but not by much.

Eve from Wall-E devolved!

Wall-E's friend Eve now has legs! Ok, ok, it's actually a really cool costume.

Completely distorted Tweety

Some characters definitely don't work out too well on human figures. Tweety, the canary from Looney Tunes, has a big head and small body, yet the opposite has happened with this costume.

Drooling for pizza time

These 4 are definitely the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but the costumes are definitely off! Maybe the 'droll' is supposed to be their teeth, which means their mouths are open and showing their green tongues? Who knows!

The pose, the color, the horror

The defecation has hit the oscillation! How can they do this to my favorite superhero of all time?

3. WTH!?

Zentai costumes are especially popular in Asia. They are full-body suits with various designs. Some are superhero costumes, others are simply solid colors (Greenman), and even more have inexplicable designs. The uses for these costumes range from fetishes to pranks to Halloween hilarity.

There's not much worse than a Robin costume. And now that it's extra tight, you're just begging to be insulted, or hit on, while wearing it!

Can't decide on what to be this Halloween? Just be everything; the universe

This pattern is soooooo trippy. I'm actually tempted to buy it just to see what the reactions would be like. What would people even say? What would you tell people you are?

I don't understand it

I work with kids, so I think I know most cartoons and their favorite characters. Is this a cartoon I haven't seen? To me, it looks like they were going for something with their orange and green pattern. However, somewhere along the way, they ran out of materials, so they added Spider-Man's arm, 2 random flames, a spike from Sonic, and some other miscellaneous pieces.

Crack bunny

Here's the crack bunny from the same great company that made the last masterpiece. Again, hopefully this isn't from a cartoon I don't know about, but how could it be? Kids and adults alike would get nightmares from just looking at its face. I'm not a violent person at all and I just want to falcon punch its face!

Greenman +1! BRASIL!!

Now this is what I'm talkin' about! Greenman is always a classic. From behind, you are still Greenman, but the party in the front is all about Brasil! Wooohoooo
